CASA of Harrison County is asking for your help to donate coats or jackets for children in need.
With colder days ahead they’re preparing now by asking for all sizes from kids to adults. They especially need adult sizes since they have children that need larger sizes and they are currently out.
This year, they’ve distributed over 150 coats and jackets to children in our community already. Permanency Resource Coordinator Heather Alfonso said, “I personally can’t stand the thought of anybody being cold during winter. Jackets and coats are those things that sometimes we don’t think about down here on the Coast because it is usually warm here. Most of us have coats in the closet that we pull out, but a lot of these kids don’t and their parents just can’t go out and buy them.”
They’re collecting donations at 47 Maples Drive #B in Gulfport.
