One local Mardi Gras club kicked off the Thanksgiving season with a big dinner.
The Second Liners Mardi Gras Club held its annual Family Thanksgiving Dinner for kids and families from the East Biloxi unit of the Boys and Girls Club.
Dinner guests enjoyed the delicious fixings that make up a Thanksgiving meal and had fun chatting and connecting with each other throughout the dinner.
Last month, the Second Liners presented the Boys and Girls Club with a $2,500 check to help set up the dinner as well as a Christmas party complete with gifts for the children at the East Biloxi unit. Harriet Mitchell with the Second Liners Mardi Gras Club said, “So you know, we try to do things for different community service events for the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It’s not just Biloxi, but you know, different areas of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.”
Tomorrow the Second Liners continue their community service with a turkey giveaway for area churches at John Henry Beck Park in Biloxi.
