Gulfport Softball’s season comes to an end in Round One of the Playoffs

Gulfport Softball hosted the Northwest Rankin Cougars for game two of the first round of playoffs. The Lady Admirals must win to keep their season alive.

The Admirals offense started off strong, retiring all three batters in order with the help of a diving catch in center field by Juliana Espat. Gulfport’s bats strike first as Georgia Emmer rips an line drive into left center field for an RBI single, scoring Paige Moore who reached on a walk.

The blue and orange were just three outs away from taking game two, but a seven-run seventh inning by the Cougars led to Northwest Rankin clinching the series with a 11-5 final score. A much better game by the Admirals than what the score reads. A special shoutout to the Admiral senior class for leaving Gulfport Softball better than they found it!
