The Mississippi Lottery Corporation is hosting training workshops for approved lottery retailers in the state. In preparation for the launch of scratch-off tickets on November 25th, the Mississippi lottery corporation, along with its gaming vendor IGT, will begin conducting retailer training workshops around the state over the next few weeks for approved lottery retailers who are approved to sell the tickets.
IGT has been contacting these retailers with information about the training schedules and last week installed equipment at more than 300 retail locations throughout the state.
These workshops are designed to provide a detailed overview of the operation of the lottery terminal, as well as provide an understanding of the instant scratch-off games.
In addition, these workshops will provide retailers the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about what to expect once tickets begin to be sold since ticket buyers will depend on them to know how to play the games. Two members from each approved store location are allowed to attend the training sessions, which are about two-and-a-half hours long. Additional training opportunities will also be available in the future.
