Dunkin’ is moving up the nationwide launch of its “Beyond Sausage” Sandwich.
The chain started testing the breakfast sandwich made with plant-based sausage from beyond meat back in July in New York City.
Initially, Dunkin’ was planning on rolling out the menu item nationwide in January. But after sales were more than double Dunkin’s original forecast, it will be available at 9,000 locations starting November 6th.
Dunkin’s Beyond Sausage Sandwich features Beyond Meat’s breakfast sausage patty made with 100% plant-based protein and a mix of spices crafted specifically for Dunkin’.
The Beyond Breakfast Sausage patty features 10 grams of plant-based protein and is served on an English muffin with egg and American cheese. The Beyond Sausage Sandwich has 29% less total fat, 33% less saturated fat and fewer calories, cholesterol and sodium than a traditional Dunkin’ Sausage, Egg and Cheese Breakfast Sandwich on an English muffin.
The Beyond Sausage Sandwich was the number two selling sandwich in Dunkin’s Manhattan locations, lagging behind only the bacon, egg and cheese bagel.
