Just because it is the spooky season doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a good history lesson at the 2019 Biloxi Cemetery Tours.
You have the chance to explore Biloxi’s history through graveside reenactments as you learn about ‘Biloxi’s colorful past.’
The tours are free and open to the public on Sunday, October 20th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesday, October 22nd from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
This year you will have the chance to learn about the city’s history of gambling, lack of prohibition, among other interesting things. Bill Raymond with the Biloxi Visitor’s Center said, “We will have a lady of the evening, a lady who ran a brothel, illegal gamblers talking about their time here. We also have the law side of it, telling us how they were trying to stop all of these things.”
A sneak peek of the Biloxi Cemetery Tour will take place at 5:30 this evening at the Slavonian Lodge. This is also free and open to the public.
