George County Softball celebrates their stellar Senior class!

It was a bitter sweet night at George County high school as a special groups chapter is nearing the end. It was Senior Night for the Lady Rebel softball team, but it was much more than just balloons, speeches and the last regular season home game, but a chance to look back and recognize what the fab five truly has accomplished.

Aryana Dixon, Hadleigh Tatum, Blakely Slay, Addison Davis and Jordyn Bradley first stepped on the high school field at the end of their 8th grade year and truly never left. They took a program in 2022 that was almost even on the year and 5th in district, to never losing more than seven games and being four time district champions the next four seasons.

Besides the impressive turnaround records, these girls not only helped bring the first ever softball State Championship to George County high school, but also the second just two years later. What these girls have accomplished is absolutely remarkable, and it’s also far from finished.  Head coach Anna Grace Rigby and her stellar seniors discuss what the team has meant to them all these years. You can hear their answers in the video above. Happy senior night lady rebels, and thank you for letting WXXV cover your journey!
