Poplarville Hornets dominate in first playoff game with 14-2 win over Forrest County AHS!

Getting the 2026 post-season started was the Poplarville Lady Hornets as they hosted Forrest County AHS for round one of playoffs! The Hornets wasted no time at the plate as they plated five runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Aggies would tack on one run, but that didn’t discourage pitcher Lindsey Lee as she shut them down with three strikeouts in the top of the second. The Poplarville bats would remain hot in the bottom of the second as they scored nine more runs. 

The Lady Hornets only needed four runs to jump ahead in the series as they win game one with a final score of 14-2. Poplarville will look to punch their ticket to round two of the playoffs as they travel to Forrest County Friday night with a 5:30 first pitch.
