It’s pinkies up for seniors in Biloxi for the second annual ‘Time for Tea’ event.
Seniors ages 50 and older, along with their care takers and family members, can get out their hats, bow ties, glove, and pearls tomorrow and head to the Biloxi Civic Center for this community tea party.
The City of Biloxi Parks and Recreation and Infinity Funeral Homes are setting the table today for this unique outing, all to help our local seniors feel special. Parks and Recreation Senior Specialist Gwen Johnson said, “It gives them the opportunity to come out to fellowship with each other in a community way. Because a lot of seniors, once they retire and get used to being at home we want them to come out and we recognize them to let them know that this is for them.”
‘Time for Tea’ is Tuesday, October 15th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Biloxi Civic Center. It’s a catered event with live music, photo opportunities, and dozens of door prizes.
Tickets are free and you still have time to get yours. Just call 228-436-6722.
