Mississippi Department of Public Safety cuts ribbon on new facility

PEARL, Miss. (WXXV)- The Mississippi Department of Public Safety has officially moved into its new headquarters.

The brand-new building in Pearl allows all 11 divisions of the department to be housed under one roof for the first time ever.

Governor Tate Reeves, Lt. Governor Delbert Hosemann, and other state leaders were there on Tuesday to see the new building.

The facility is named after former DPS commissioner Steve Huggins, who died in 2022.
