Kids and adults enjoyed a day full of fun with local first responders at Point Cadet Park on Saturday.
The Biloxi Police Department’s Festival against Crime featured setups from local vendors and displayed department’s equipment, including a bomb squad robot and many types of police vehicles.
Sgt. Joey Payne says the festival helps to promote crime prevention and form positive connections with the community. “It’s the Festival against Crime. It’s for the community to come out and see us, but also for us to partner with our community because for us to make our community safer. We have to work with the citizens in our community.”
The police department is already planning to host the festival again this time next year.
