Some serious strength was on display at Jones Park this weekend.
Over 130 Cross Fit athletes from across the entire Gulf Coast gathered in Gulfport for the 2019 Gulfport Anchor Games.
Proceeds from the games benefit the charitable organization ‘Kidz Outdoors,’ a group that provides outdoor activities for children with special needs.
Athletes competed in multiple individual workouts on Saturday and then closed the event with team competitions on Sunday. David Shoemake with Gulfport Anchor Games said, “These athletes are absolutely dedicated to health and wealth and they come to our Coast because it’s just a beautiful place.”
