It’s a heartbreaking loss for the community. On Friday, 17-year-old Emily Goss died in a car crash.
Emily Goss was loved deeply by her friends and family. She was going into her senior year at Hancock High School and was the captain of the cheerleading team.
Today, News 25 spoke with her cousin and friend, Jake Fletcher, who says she was a beautiful soul and a great person to be around.
Jake said the most important things in the world to Emily were her family, friends, her religion, and school. “You know those people who just walk into a room and you are just happy that they are there, their smile is contagious and they can say anything and you are laughing? That is who she was, she was the sweetest girl, super sweet. She had a heart of gold. She loved everyone. She was a good girl, yeah.”
Jake says he and his family are sticking together to support each other during this tough time.
News 25 will have more from Emily’s cousin tonight at 9 and 10.
