Barry became a tropical depression earlier this afternoon and continues to move into Arkansas. The effects are still being felt in South Mississippi. Bands still wrapping into the system will cause periods of heavy rain through tonight and Monday. The winds aren’t really an issue anymore, but we still watching for locally heavy bands that could cause flooding. By Wednesday Barry should be out of the region and our rain chances will go back down and we return to our summertime routine with some sunshine and afternoon t-storms. Temperatures will climb back into the lower 90s as well.
