Our last forecast in May is appropriately hot as the humidity pushed the heat index beyond 100 degrees. We’ll see more hot and humid days ahead, but some slight relief is on the horizon. A front is moving into the area today, but it isn’t very strong.
I don’t expect it to generate enough lift on its own to lead to showers, but a few aren’t impossible during the enhanced, peak heating hours.
This front will linger for a day or so as it breaks down, and another will follow by the beginning of next week. This will keep moderate rain chances and light cloud cover in place for the next few days. After Monday it does cool down some, but only into the upper 80s by the end of the week and it will still be at least moderately humid. Rain chances rise to 30% during this period as well.
