This morning, Kevin Sutherland sunk a 15 foot birdie putt to defeat Scott Parel and be named the 2019 Rapiscan Systems Classic champion.
Sunday evening, Sutherland and Parel went head-to-head through five holes before officials suspended play for the night due to darkness.
The two teed off again this morning playing the 18th hole two times and on the second go round both made it on the green in two, but Parel missed a 20-foot putt for birdie, finishing with a par.
Sutherland made a 15-foot putt for birdie, making this his second victory on PGA Tour Champions. “Obviously, I still had a chance. We went back and played the hole and he made birdie and I didn’t. So, hats off to him. I played with him on Saturday. He was playing very good. He deserved to win,” said Parel.
Sutherland said, “Scott hit a really good putt and he kind of gave me a little bit of a read there. So, I would know how I was going to break and it went right in the middle. It’s a great feeling,” said Sutherland.
