2/17 – Jeff’s “Cold” Friday Evening Forecast

The week has ended on a cold note across South Mississippi. Elevated winds will back off some tonight. Clouds will thin and temperatures will tumble overnight. Wind chills will be in the 20s tomorrow morning. Expect plenty of sunshine, cold temperatures, and breezy conditions for parades tomorrow! As high pressure scoots east, winds will turn southerly on its western periphery. Warm, moist return flow will take over during the second half of the weekend. Sunday will have seasonal temperatures and some cloud cover.

Next week will be very warm across our area. Above seasonal high temperatures will be around the entire work week. Some guidance is suggesting that high temperatures could push 80 degrees during the middle of the week. Some storm systems bear watching for the second half of the week. There is not a lot of certainty on fine details yet. However, there are low-end chances for rainfall Wednesday-Friday. As we get closer, details will be ironed out.
