12/4 – Payton’s Monday Afternoon Forecast

A foggy start has lead to a nice afternoon with partly cloudy skies and warm temperatures, and this will continue into tomorrow before the front arrives. Today there is a very slight chance of a shower, but most of the activity will stay off to the west and south. Tuesday is the day of change as a very strong cold front will move into the area sometime Tuesday evening. Models continue to show some instability and enough moisture ahead of the front to kick off showers and a few thunderstorms. The front will pack a punch and bring much colder air into the area with highs on Wednesday barely getting out of the 40s. The colder weather will continue, and rain chances will continue into Thursday. Clearing will start going into Friday, and a cooler below average weekend is in store.
