12/22 Ryan’s “Christmas Weekend” Friday Forecast

The weekend before Christmas has arrived and we’ll see some rather drastic changes as the holiday rolls around. Just like the last several nights, you can expect more fog do develop across South MS, and much of it will be dense though only the Mississippi Sound has a Dense Fog Advisory issued as of 11 PM. The front will move in tomorrow morning, and while no severe weather is expected we will see several showers until about 3 or 4 in the afternoon. This front will usher in strong high pressure and an Arctic airmass that will clear the skies and drop temperatures into the upper 30s by Christmas Eve. Christmas day will be a perfect winter day in South MS, with an afternoon high in the mid 50s and plenty of sunshine to enjoy. These conditions linger for another day before we’ll begin to see increasing cloud cover and rain chances, but the temperatures will max out in the lower 60s as we head towards the New Year.
