12/20 – Rob’s “Weather Departing” Midday News Forecast

As rain move to the east with the associated cold front, the atmosphere continues to stabilize along with a DECREASING threat for severity. It looks like the most we will see into the early afternoon hours are a few lingering showers and perhaps a rumble of thunder to the south, over the water. Clouds will linger through tonight with a fairly PLEASANT day on-tap for the 1st day of Winter (Tomorrow/Thursday at 10:28 a.m.)

The pleasant conditions won’t last long as the tail end of this boundary will lift back into the area and coupled with the next cold front, bring humid conditions along with rain for the weekend. An arctic air mass will begin moving into the area Saturday night with the bulk of the cold air moving in Sunday/Christmas Eve. Christmas day will bring a COLD start as the mercury along the southern 6 will plunge into the low 30s…warming into the low/mid 50s during the afternoon under sunny skies. The week of Christmas will bring cooler temps along with rain chances elevating by mid-week.
