12/30 – Jeff’s “Rain Ending” Friday Evening Forecast

Today provided plenty of rainfall across our area. Several locations picked up 3-5 inches. Rain is exiting our area while temperatures remain cool. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for our area until 9 AM tomorrow. There is a 30% chance of isolated showers overnight.

A cold front will pass through our area tomorrow morning. Fog will dissipate and clearing will begin. There won’t be much of a difference with this cold front other than a slightly drier airmass. Any activities for New Year’s Eve will go off without a hitch.

New Year’s Day will be very warm with the airmass modifying again. Partly cloudy skies are expected particularly towards the end of the day. Another frontal system bears watching as we reach the first week of the New Year. The first half of the work week will be active yet again with thunderstorm chances from Monday through Wednesday.
