12/27 – Jeff Vorick’s “Cold Front Arriving” Wednesday Morning Forecast
While it is a few degrees colder than yesterday out the door this morning, temperatures are near average in terms of low temperatures are concerned. Mostly cloudy skies remain in place today but more sunshine is possible due to the cloud deck being higher off the ground. Temperatures this afternoon reach the 60s and winds will be variable.
A dry cold front moves through the area tonight. It will bring clearing skies and a reinforcing shot of cold air. Temperatures will plunge to below-average values for the rest of the week. Thursday morning brings an average of 37 degrees out the door while Friday and Saturday morning will see the possibility of a widespread freeze, especially inland of the interstate.
Sunny skies can be expected Thursday – much of the weekend. Despite this, afternoon high temperatures will only be in the 50s which is several degrees below average high temperatures. Some signals of rainfall arrive for the beginning of next week and an overall pattern change is possible next week.
