12/21 – Jeff’s “Winter Begins” Thursday Evening Forecast

Winter begins at 9:27 PM. Tonight will feature some cloud cover and an overall milder feel. Temperatures will not be as cold as previous nights though with some spots even struggling to drop to the 50-degree mark. Gradually, changes will be taking place over the next few days.

Friday will feature some clearing during the afternoon hours but more mid-level and upper-level clouds will stream in at times. This weekend into the Christmas holiday will be much different than what we have seen this week. A storm system will influence the weather pattern this weekend with rain arriving Sunday.

Saturday will be quite nice with breaks in the clouds and above-average temperatures. Rain will not be expected until potentially late Saturday night. The bulk of the rain arrives for Christmas Eve. It is looking like heavy rain will be in the area from around Noon Sunday until Christmas morning.
