12/18 – Rob’s “Winter-Like” Afternoon Forecast
The main story ill be the cold air which will continue through Thursday evening. Strong radiational cooling processes in place due to clear skies and calm winds will lead to some of the coldest temperatures in the forecast period. Expect another night of freezing temperatures…with north of the interstate dropping into the upper 20s for a few hours close to sunrise Thursday.
We are anticipating a strong disturbance to cross the California Pacific coast later today, which will continue to drift east across the Rockies. This disturbance will move into the NW’tern GOM and track east across the N’tern Gulf this weekend. Expect rainfall in the area Saturday through Sunday afternoon with continued warming temperatures into Christmas week…
