12/17- Rob’s “Sunny & Cool” Afternoon Forecast

Clearing skies will occur this afternoon with below normal temperatures in the area through Friday morning. Temperatures expected to dip below freezing in areas along and north of the I-10 corridors on Friday morning.

Surface high-pressure will move off to our east bringing a fairly rapid warming trend through the end of the week. A weak system will slowly dip into the region from the Arklatex area Friday night into Saturday. This will bring the next chance of showers by Saturday afternoon/Saturday evening time frame. Return flow will allow some moisture to move back into the area…but currently it looks limited.

High pressure will begin to build back in Sunday night as temperatures will trend on the warmer side, and should be dry through midweek.
