11/30 – Brantly’s “Chilly Day, Below-Freezing Night” Monday Forecast

It will be windy with winds at 10 to 20 mph gusting as high as 25 mph or 30 mph. Temperatures will be much cooler now that cold air is filling in behind the cold front. High temperatures on Monday should only top out in the lower 50s with overnight lows ranging from the mid 20s inland to around 30° along the immediate coastline. Factor in the wind and it will feel much cooler.

A Freeze Watch is in effect for South Mississippi from 10 PM Monday and until 8 AM Tuesday. On Tuesday, we will start out with temperature is below freezing for the first time this season for many locations. Skies should be sunny and it will be a little bit warmer. High temperatures will be in the mid 50s with overnight lows in the mid-30s. It won’t feel as cold though because the wind will be much calmer.

On the water, seas will be a little rough. The Mississippi Sound will have seas running at 3 to 5 feet. A Small Craft Advisory is in place until 6 AM Tuesday.
