11/26 Ryan’s “Thanksgiving” Thursday Night Forecast

I hope everyone in South MS had a happy Thanksgiving, despite our somewhat stormy end to it. I’m not expecting much more rain tonight, but an isolated shower or two isn’t out of the question. I am expecting to see a good amount of fog though.

The air was already humid and calm thanks to a stalled front in the area, but now even more moisture has been added thanks to the rain.

That means widespread areas of fog are expected, and in at least a few places it will be dense. Right now Dense Fog Advisories have only been issued for George and Stone Counties, but I’d be surprised not to see one added early tomorrow.

Friday afternoon doesn’t look all that different from today either, just with a little more rain.

Expect a high near 74 with a 40% chance of showers & thunderstorms and a “marginal” severe risk. These chances go down Saturday, but jump significantly Sunday as a stronger frontal system moves in ahead of a much colder airmass.
