11/23 – Jeff’s “Look at Thanksgiving” Wednesday Afternoon Forecast

We finally get to see sunshine dominate a day! Clearing began this morning and all we will be left with are a few clouds from time to time this afternoon. Temperatures will reach the mid-70s across South Mississippi this afternoon.

The quiet weather will be short-lived, though. A frontal system to our west will begin to influence our weather beginning tonight. Moisture will be increasing along with clouds. Expect mostly cloudy skies to begin your Thanksgiving holiday. Rain chances will increase in the afternoon and evening.

The rainfall over the next few days will come in rounds. Expect a round of showers and embedded thunderstorms to come through South Mississippi late Thursday night into Black Friday. There will be dry time during the day Friday. More rounds of rain and possible thunderstorms will come into the picture late Friday into Saturday with a cold front moving through the area.

Clearing will begin following the passage of the cold front. The airmass behind the front will be drier. This will lead to cool, but near-seasonal morning low temperatures and afternoon high temperatures to end the weekend.
