11/2 – Rob’s Midday News/Chilly Workweek Forecast
The center of cold high-pressure will shape the forecast through the workweek, with the COLDEST of the air mass moving in tonight. Optimal overnight cooling will take place tonight after winds relax to provide cold temperatures in the lower 40s, perhaps an isolated 38-39F in the more interior drainage prone locations.
As this air mass begins to moderate, an easterly flow regime will establish by Thursday, this regime should persist through the weekend. An easterly wave, quite likely an inverted trough extension from now Hurricane Eta, traverses the east and central gulf waters to bring a focusing mechanism for convection worthy of mention Saturday. Warming trend started earlier in the week carries through the weekend with no frontal passage anticipated through next Sunday.
