10/21 Ryan’s “Fantastic Friday” Night Forecast

The Gulf Coast saw fantastic weather this afternoon, and it’s expected to continue to improve as we head into the weekend. We’ll have to get through this chilly night first though, with lows dipping into the upper 40s near the waterfront and even cooler inland. Expect even drier conditions tomorrow afternoon with cloudless skies and an afternoon high near 73. As the ridge continues to strengthen behind yesterday’s front, expect some gradual warming as we begin next week, but temperatures won’t get much higher than 80 even as we approach next weekend. Small craft advisory currently in effect for the Sound will remain through at least 1 AM close to the coast, but extends to 4 AM in the open water.

Disturbance one is no longer expected to become a tropical system, but will be swept up by the frontal system that just pushed through the area and will continue NE before being absorbed by the trough.
