$10,000 reward to find shipyard arsonist

There’s a $10,000 reward up for the arsonist who set two large structures on fire at a Mississippi Gulf Coast shipyard.

The fire that caused about $2.5 million in damages at VT Halter Marine Shipyard in Moss Point is being investigated as an arson case. Two large buildings were set on fire in September. Who started it and why remains unknown.

Reward money is being offered by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and the Mississippi State Fire Marshal’s Office to the person who gives information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
