10/4 – Brittany’s “Cool & Muggy” Tuesday Night Forecast

If you are looking for rain, try again. For just under 3 months there was rain just about everyday and now we may not see any appreciable rain for at least another week to possibly 10 days. However, we will likely see another shot of drier and possibly cooler air which will keep things on the more comfortable side at least in the short term.

Overnight Wednesday and into Thursday the next s/w will drop southeast across the Mid MS Valley and into the OH/TN Valleys. This will put the area back under weak northwest flow but it will also help to usher in another weak cold front, well more like dry air.

Friday through Monday night, northerly to easterly surface winds will act to enhance dry and cool air advection into the area late this week into the weekend. So, rainfall is not expected for the long term forecast, looking at the models and based on the environmental parameters/lack of deep layer moisture. Friday, high temperatures will warmer than normal ahead of a dry boundary that will move through on Saturday.
