10/31 – Payton’s Halloween Evening Forecast
Happy Halloween! It’s humid, mild and breezy this evening and that’s how it will remain through the early part of the night. Rain chances are very low, but we can’t rule out one or two showers for trick-or-treating. Things begin to change overnight though as the cold front moves closer to the area. The chance for showers and thunderstorms will go up dramatically going into Thursday morning. As this line moves through the area we will have the chance to see severe thunderstorms. This includes the chance for high winds, isolated tornadoes, a lot of lightning and localized flash flooding. This will likely impact parts of the morning commute. By Thursday afternoon the heaviest rain will exit the area to the east and bring the cold front through. By Friday some clouds lingering, but into the weekend it’s going to beautiful! Don’t forget Saturday night into Sunday morning to set the clocks back one hour. By Monday and Tuesday another cold front approaches and rain chances go back up.
