10/25 – Brantly’s “Tropical Trouble” Friday Morning Forecast

We’re continuing to track a tropical disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico that is expected to collide with a cold front before reaching our area. At the time of this post (7:15 a.m.), there was a 70 percent chance of becoming a tropical depression or storm within the next 48 hours.

There’s a one hundred percent chance of rain today and a Flash Flood Watch is in effect for all of South Mississippi through Saturday afternoon. Most areas will see 2-4 inches of rain, with some places seeing localized higher amounts up to 6 inches. Temperatures will stay steady in the 70s today and tonight.

Rain will finally clear the area late Saturday and skies will gradually clear Saturday night as low temperatures dip into the mid 50s.
