10/18 – Brittany’s “Early-Season Freeze Warning” Tuesday Evening Forecast
Red Flag Warning continues until 7 PM. – FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT TONIGHT –
Breezy conditions will continue this evening as a colder, drier airmass dominates the region. Temperatures will plummet after sunset and fall below 40 degrees shortly after midnight. A Freeze Warning is in effect from 1 AM – 9 AM. Action should be taken to protect plants, pipes, and pets.
Temperatures tomorrow morning will be in the low-to-mid 30s with 5-10 MPH northerly winds. It will feel like the 20s in some locations inland. The gradient flow will relax tomorrow with winds dropping down to 10-15 MPH in the afternoon, with lighter winds expected Thursday. With high pressure moving closer to the area, the next few days will bring clear skies with an abundance of sunshine.
The cold airmass will slowly dissipate throughout the week and a slow moderation will take place. By the end of the week high pressure moves east of our area and the return flow will be in full effect. Morning lows will rebound to the 40s and 50s with daytime highs in the mid-to-upper 70s and near 80 degrees.
