10/1 – Rob’s 1st Day of October Forecast

Closing out the workweek into the weekend will bring lower rain chances. Pulses of weak Energy from the west are expected to continue to aid a wet environment favorable for more isolated showers and thunderstorms. Isolated showers and thunderstorms may still form later than previous days and affect west of the local area.

On Sunday an upper disturbance will push into the region with a surface cold front. This will bring elevated rain chances back to the region with the threat for heavy rainfall Sunday night into Monday evening. Monday will also bring the threat for SEVERITY through the region with isolated tornadoes, small hail and gusty winds possible. This could continue to become more problematic over Tuesday as a few models move the front through the area. The latter part of next week will bring drier conditions and pleasant early October conditions.
