10/08 Ryan’s “Active Afternoon” Thursday Night Forecast

Active weather earlier today in South MS as a line of thunderstorms became severe. A tornado warning was issued for NW Jackson County just before three, and lingered until nearly four. Rotation was evident on the radar, but no confirmation on touchdown just yet. This storm was expected, but the intensity was a bit of a surprise as the Storm Prediction Center didn’t even have us under any threat designation.

WE’LL SEE MORE SPOTTY SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE NEXT 36 HOURS OR SO AS HURRICANE DELTA LANDFALLS FAR TO TO THE WEST.

The biggest threat of Tropical Storm force conditions will be Friday night and Saturday morning. By Sunday though the clouds will begin to break up, and sunny days return. Highs will be slightly above average, near the mid 80s, but will fall by the weekend thanks to another front.
