1/8 – Jeff Vorick’s “Mild Start To Week” Sunday Night Forecast

Rain fell earlier today thanks to a cold front that is now passing overhead. Clearing along with a drop in temperatures will occur after midnight. A cooler and drier airmass will be in place during the first part of the week.

Skies will be mostly clear Monday. Temperatures will be mild in the afternoon with the low-to-mid 60s expected. The airmass will begin to modify Tuesday with slightly warmer temperatures and increasing humidity.

Southerly flow returns late Tuesday into Wednesday. With that, fog can be expected to set up Wednesday morning. A frontal system will be coming out of the Rockies Wednesday. South Mississippi will be in its warm and humid sector Wednesday into Thursday. There will be shower and thunderstorm chances Thursday with the cold front.
