1/27 – Rob’s “Clearing Skies/Colder Temps” Afternoon Forecast

Now that the cold front has cleared the area, strong surface high pressure will build in from north the rest of this week. The resultant weather will be sunny days and clear nights with a return to more normal temps for this time of year after a brief cool down Thursday. No rain during this period.

High-pressure will flatten Friday as the next system moving out of the southern Rockies moves into the Ohio River Valley Sunday. This will be followed by more high-pressure early next week. The surface low associated with this system will move from the Oklahoma Panhandle Saturday morning to southern Ohio by Sunday evening. The cold front should move through the local area Saturday night or Sunday morning, accompanied by scattered showers and perhaps a thunderstorm or two. Beyond Sunday morning, dry through at least Tuesday.
