1/22 – Jeff Vorick’s “Much More Mild” Monday Evening Forecast
Breezy conditions subside somewhat overnight but winds will remain in place out of the east/southeast overnight. Temperatures will be mild compared to what we’ve seen in recent memory. A 20% chance of light rain is possible tonight but any rainfall will be light in nature.
Tuesday brings a 30% or so chance of rainfall with passing showers possible. It will be gloomy for a lot of this week with several disturbances triggering cloud cover and several rounds of rain chances. It will also be several degrees warmer than averages with high temperatures even approaching 70 degrees in some spots.
More widespread rain comes into factor for the middle-to-end of the week. Wednesday brings the first of several days with the potential for flooding and severe thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may bring isolated spin-ups and strong wind gusts. Our area is outlined in a Slight Risk for flash flooding for Wednesday – Friday.
