1/21 – Rob’s “FREEZING TEMPERATURES” Morning Forecast

A freeze warning will ride through 9 am today but should not need to be re-issued for tonight since those conditions have already been met. Another cool day in store with some freezing temps once again tonight mainly inland (north of I-10) locations. Not a lot of change until Thursday with Wednesday being the transition day from dry and cool to moist and mild conditions.

A surface low-pressure and attendant cold front will visit Thursday with mainly showers over inland and most if not all thunderstorms over marine areas. There is a slight possibility that a few thunderstorms could move onshore over south Mississippi/SE LA but this will be more of the exception and not the rule. A dry slot will form behind the surface low and move through the area rapidly late Thursday afternoon into the early evening hours. This should help clear most of the rain out while clouds will linger a little longer then back to mild but nice conditions Friday through the weekend. The next system should begin to impact the area by the start of the new week.
