09/09 Ryan’s “Dry Start, Wet Afternoon” Tuesday Morning Forecast

Expect a few showers later this afternoon after another dry and sunny start to the day.

This morning’s skies were off to a clear and sunny start, but cloud cover will slowly build in ahead of a potentially rainy afternoon. Not looking like we’ll see much, but you can expect at least a few showers later this afternoon near the coast and on the western end of the area. That doesn’t mean they won’t pop up elsewhere as well, but overall they should be light and short-lived, so I don’t foresee any problems from them…even if an isolated thunderstorm manages to form. Whatever cloud cover and shower activity we get will clear up around sunset, and even the clouds will thin as we head into the night. That’ll lead to several sunny days in a row, taking us through the weekend and into next week.

The tropics are still quiet despite being in the statistical peak of the season, with nothing expected to even try to form in the next several days.
