09/09 – Brantly’s “Hot Weather Continues” Wednesday Afternoon Forecast
Hot and humid weather continues along the Gulf Coast. For the next few days, high temperatures will be in the lower 90s under mostly sunny skies. Each afternoon, there is a small chance for pop-up showers and storms with rain chances ranging between 20 percent and 40 percent.
In the tropics, we are tracking Tropical Storms Paulette and Rene, both of which are not expected to enter the Gulf of Mexico. We are also watching a vigorous tropical wave near the coast of Africa that has an 80 percent chance of formation through the next 5 days. It is still too early for specifics on this system, but it is not an immediate threat the United States.
