08/22 Ryan’s “Mostly Dry Monday” Forecast

It ended up being a mostly dry Monday afternoon which is just a little less than the 40% forecast last week. The Bermuda High extension slowly making its way Westward across the Northern Gulf has kept storm development on the lower end, but a few extra showers are expected around Wednesday due to mid and upper level low pressure disturbances. Other than that little bump in shower chances, we’ll see very little change in the weather regime over the next week. Expect hot and humid days, although we’ll see some slight cooling and drying as the stationary boundary to our North continues to break down, with a lower chance of showers during the hotter parts of the afternoon. These storms won’t last long into the overnight hours though, and remain a small part of the overall forecast.
