08/14 – Steve’s Sunday Evening ‘Less Rain’ Forecast
After a week of record flooding in, especially, Louisiana, we’re getting a well-earned break from all that as a more standard Summertime Pattern resumes over the southeast.
We are to find our weather under the dominant influence of the Bermuda High once again, as its high pressure reasserts itself as far west as the Alabama/Mississippi State Line at the beginning of the week. This regime will allow just enough moisture and just enough instability each day to create a few thundershowers, but nothing like last week. Each day this week, our rain chances erode slightly down to a climatologically-correct 20% by Friday.
High temps each day will range from the mid-80’s in locations that receive rain or cloud cover and up to the lower 90’s again later in the period.
