08/30 Ryan’s “Shuckers Playoff” Thursday Evening Forecast

The Shuckers start their playoff stand tonight, and it looks like this afternoon’s rain is clearing up just in time. A few showers will last into the night time hours, but I expect them to be north of MGM park by game time.

If you love the rain you have no reason to fret though, because I’m expecting even more rain every afternoon into next week.

High pressure may be dominating to the East and West of us, but it looks like a slow moving, retro-grading low will move East to West across the coastline from Friday through Sunday. Rainfall totals as high as 4″ are possible over the next 3-5 days, and localized areas could see even higher numbers if any storms train or linger.

The first signs of improvement begin on Labor Day.

Rain chances fall from “likely” to “possible” around this time, and the drying continues into the middle of the week which will be much more “typical” summertime weather.
