08/11 Ryan’s “Little Drier” Tuesday Morning Forecast

Expect it to be a little drier today, despite another round of early morning showers.

Expect things to be a little drier later today and for the rest of the week than we saw yesterday, which itself only saw a few “trace” amounts. That’s not to say it’ll be completely dry though. We already saw one thunderstorm cluster develop near the coast and slowly drift up Hwy 49 from around 4 AM – 5 :30 AM. It brought isolated areas of upwards of a half inch of rain near Saucier, but died out quickly as it drifted slowly to the northwest. It’s all done now though, and outside of a 10% chance, short-lived shower in the heat of the day not much more is likely.

For today, expect a high slightly warmer than yesterday near 94°, with the heat index reaching 102-104°. That’s once again just below heat advisory levels, but remember the rest of the week slowly gets hotter. Expect winds this afternoon to remain light near 10 mph and out of the South.
