07/13 Ryan’s “Humid” Thursday Night Forecast

Today was a bit more humid that the last few, meaning it didn’t take long to get sweaty with any outdoor exposure. Light-to-moderate showers lingered over the water/coast during the morning/early afternoon, but began to move inland as the sea breeze set up in the afternoon. So far there have only been a few small areas that received over an inch of rain and some lightning, but none of these thunderstorms are expected to become severe. As we head into the post-sunset-overnight hours, most of these showers will dissipate, but some will linger over the coastline and the whole process begins again tomorrow.

In the tropics, an open wave will move into the Gulf and add moisture/energy to our unstable atmosphere. This means rain chances increase slightly, and some of the thunderstorms could become strong.
