07/29 – Brantly’s “Drier Days Ahead” Wednesday Afternoon Forecast

Rain chances are elevated again today at around 70 percent as shower and thunderstorms roll through South Mississippi. Highs will be in the mid 80s.

Thursday through the weekend, expect temperatures to get back into the upper 80s to around 90 degrees. There will be a chance for a shower or thunderstorm each afternoon, but there will be still a lot of sunshine. Overall, a much more sunny pattern is on tap.

In the tropics, we are tracking Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine. It is located in the western Atlantic near the Caribbean Sea and is expected to become a tropical storm later today. The next name on the list is Isaias. As the system is still only in the developing stages, it is far too early to determine specifics when it comes to the forecast path and intensity.
