07/28 Ryan’s “Scorching Start” Monday Morning Forecast
We're off to a scorching start across South Mississippi thanks to sunny skies and high humidity.
We’re off to a scorching start this week due to high heat and humidity, activating Heat Warnings across parts of South Mississippi. Even in the areas without warnings, we’re still looking at Heat Advisories meaning heat indices will be lingering between 110-115°…so there are no cool spots to seek out. In fact, I don’t even expect to get any of those cooling afternoon showers we often get through the heat of the summer, and almost no breeze whatsoever. That means you’ll need to limit outdoor exposure as much as possible, seek shade, and hydrate before, during, and after any outdoor activity. Tuesday will see a slight dip in temperatures, but we’ll have to wait until later in the week for more rain to cool any more.
